Kobe Bryant buzzer beater vs the Miami Heat

Kobe Bryant’s reputation as a closer is a bit overstated, in that he just happens to take so many more crunch time shots than everyone else — he’s actually one of the least efficient stars in the clutch.

But Kobe has such a feel for drama, such an overwhelming competitive charisma that you can’t help but think of him when you think of buzzer-beating shots. There’s just something about a Kobe game-winner that electrifies the sport.

As such, Bryant’s magical banked three to finish off Miami will find legend before long. To set the scene, Kobe had missed a long jumper down two with 24 seconds left. Quentin Richardson hit two free throws to give the Heat a four-point lead.

Pau Gasol and Dwyane Wade traded more free throws after a missed lay-up by Kobe before Derek Fisher came up with a huge three with four seconds left. Wade missed his first free throw after being intentionally fouled, but hit the second to set up a final, fatal possessions for the Lakers.

What love got to do with it, I’m in the Caddy

And she’ll bend over, take it like a G
Because you know the bitch down with Pimp C

Now the hoes tryin to pull down my fuckin zipper
And get to that snake with the cobra head
I got some homeboys doin life in the fed

you can’t kill the revolution

“You can kill a revolutionary, but you can’t kill the revolution.”

Today marks the fortieth anniversary of the death of Black Panther leader Fred Hampton. On December 4th, 1969, Chicago police raided Fred Hampton’s apartment and shot and killed him in his bed. He was just twenty-one years old. Black Panther leader Mark Clark was also killed in the raid. While authorities claimed the Panthers had opened fire on the police who were there to serve a search warrant for weapons, evidence later emerged that told a very different story: that the FBI, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office and the Chicago police conspired to assassinate Fred Hampton.
